2009 World Championships SquadAt the EYFA AGM on 14th December 2009 Dave Mee (Worlds Team Manager) announced the World squad and captain for next years championships in the Czech Republic. The selection was unanimously endorsed by the meeting. European Grayling Festival 2008River Dee 29 & 30 November 2008The European Grayling Festival 2008 is an open competiton for teams of three anglers (two fish whilst the third controls for another team) and is fished over three sessions. The 2008 winning team comprised England Internationals Martin Dixon and his sons Phil & Mike who caught 36 fish. In second place came England Youth (Tom Gott, Terry Mann and Rob Thomas), with an English/Czech team in third place. 2008 National Rivers Final ResultsThe 2008 Richard Wheatley National Rivers ChampionshipWith the River Wharfe in full spate the National Rivers final was postponed in September and rearranged during November on the River Itchen, near the historic cathedral town of Winchester. We were generously hosted by the Portsmouth Services Fly Fishing Association and the beats of the Itchen on their Manor and Lower St. Cross 'B' fisheries. |
